Administrative Assistants of Kansas Cities (AAKC) was formed with a desire to promote and improve proficiency of its members. This would allow administrative assistants all over the State of Kansas to grow in their career with education and training. The benefits of attending the education and training conferences, is the recognition in which one could receive by becoming a member of AAKC.

AAKC has an award and a certification that are given to its members in recognition of their desire to become more proficient in their career as well as encouraging other to do the same.  The Nancy Crain Municipal Administrative Professional of the Year Award was established in 2009. The Certified Municipal Assistant Certification was established in 2004.
